Hi, any chance you would make the .pocket file available?

Hi, sorry but I don't know how to compile the game in pocket format.

Hello! I come from the r/3dsqrcodes community on Reddit. We take retro ROMs and make the available to play on the 3DS. We had a request for this game. Would it be okay if we post it on the community? We do not pay, as we make no money. We can link your page here  and suggest they donate if they like it. Is that okay with you? If not, we fully understand and will respect your wishes. Please let us know! Thank you!

Hi, sure you can use the ROM.

Nice racing game with a good sense of speed  Our German-language review can be found in our recorded livestream starting at 05:49:15. English subtitles are also available. Subscription to our YouTube and Twitch channel is welcome. 🙂

Awesome! Do you plan a physical release?

Thanks, I have no physical release planned.

Greetings User0x7f,

we hope you are doing great. I am Areeba (aka Titania) from the BrewOtaku-Team, we are launching BrewOtaku #003 - The Homebrew Gaming Magazine soon.

We loved your work, and we have mentioned "G-Zero: World GP" in it. Kindly share your contact details so we can share it with you. You are anyhow free to share this on your social media channels or homepage

We look forward to hearing from you soon.

Kind regards

Titania

Thank you for your great game love the 8 bit tribute to one of my favorite series. do you recommend running with color correction in emulators to further desaturate colors or is it already ''built-in'' ?

Thank you! The color set I choose is already a bit desaturated. Just try around with different emulation settings and play it in the setting you like most.

Made a video

Nice!

Also could we have a soundtrack release of it? the music is dang good in this.

I have no soundtrack release planned. Also I just have the source files of the music, not the project files.

For a moment I expected Fox and Falco to appear. given that G-Zero is the name of their racing circuit in StarFox Command.

Play Video

Great!

Pretty damn impressive. Good job.

Nice game! I have played it and while it is nice, I have some constructive feedback to provide (you don't have to implement any of this but these are just some things I figure would make this game even better).

First is the controls. They are very stiff, especially on corners. There is a game that has the best vehicle handling I have ever played on a Gameboy, it is the Japanese game "Pocket GT". The vehicle handling on that game is perfection. Perhaps having controls similar to that game would make this game so much more fun.

Second is the boost. The only visual representation of the boost are the speed lines on the sides of the screen. I would perhaps suggest saving the exhaust flames for the boost, instead of having them activate by default when driving normally. This would then add more visually to the boost and seem more like how nitro is used (emitting a flame from the exhaust).

Third is the power. I noticed when I boost, if I even make a slight bump against the side of the track or get caught against another vehicle, it almost brings me to a halt causing the other cars to zoom ahead, and I try to boost to catch back up to my place but then the power depletes and it's game over.

I might suggest that since the story of the game is that the universe you created survived an alien attack, that there would naturally be weapons going unused, so perhaps having the ability to upgrade your vehicle to add weapons/defenses and fire/activate them against other vehicles, and have power pickups that restore a small percentage of your power meter.

Perhaps also adjust it so you don't come to an almost complete halt from a single slight bump while boosting causing other drivers to zoom ahead making it diffficult to catch up.

Of course this is just constructive feedback from my own experience, and again there are no obligations to implement any of this, and I thank you for making this game exist to begin with.

Thanks for your great feedback! Hitting the right physics is indeed a diffucult task. I need to check the game you mentioned.

Appreciate the beginner level so everybody can enjoy the game, it doesn't feel that easy to be honest so it gives you the right amount feeling of challenge.

Expert in the other hand oh man, if you are up for a challenge this for you, I played only the Bronze gp but it took me like 2 hours to finish it in expert, you probably need to make almost a perfect race while dealing with the CPU on your way (or behind).

If you get to finish all the cups in expert you have my respect !

Wow, well done! But all cups can be done on expert level. Also you need to finish all cups on expert to unlock all machines.

Once again a masterpiece !

Thanks Eric!

Awesome racing game !!! A full gameplay in your honor.

Great! Try to find the right amount of acceleration at the start so you can do a boost start.  For the blue falcon the perfect timing is when the third red light is lit up.
